A REVIEW OF 2005 CONFERENCE
by Cynthia Killion
Dear friends…just a little update…Everyone keeps asking me how The Universal Lightworkers Conference was.
I find that the right words just escape me, so I keep answering with superficial adjectives like “fine,” “good,” or “wonderful.” I think what I really should be saying is “Transformative,” “Life changing,” or “Mind-blowing.” Going to the Universal Lightworker's Conference was a lot like having a mystical experience. There simply are no words to describe it. I mean, how can you adequately describe what it is like to pulse together in a room full of two hundred people dancing and swaying and simultaneously connecting in heart and spirit? And how do I describe to you what it is like to participate in a mass meditation where you feel your heart opening and healing in places where you didn't even know you had wounds, and when you come up from the meditation you are crying but you didn't even know you were crying although some how you know it is all good…and you feel lighter and freer than you have felt in a very long time…how can I describe that to you? How can I adequately explain to you what it means that t Universal Lightworkers Conference was “God-centered” where we all simply focused on connecting with and “being” God?
Michael Mirdad (one of the keynote speakers) said that God isn't just someone we pray to; it's something we EXPERIENCE. I couldn't agree more. And the truth about the ULC is that it is a gathering of like-minded people bent on experiencing God…In this event, I personally experienced God by eating deliciously, devastating chocolate velvet cake with Barbara Rose, Judith Lukomski , and Elizabeth Chandler. I also experienced God during the speaker's meeting when we were giggling about Steve & Ami Sciulli's story of performing music in front of thousands of NUDISTS! I even saw God in the SEVEN big, over-stuffed, heavenly soft down pillows that were piled on my bed. I have never seen so many pillows on one bed at a time! I could barely fit in the bed with all those pillows…it was exquisite!
I suppose I even experienced God at the banquet dinner when I found myself roped into doing a table dance (with clothes on, I promise!) in front of about two hundred people while the rest of the people at my table danced around me singing “This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius…” (yes, sadly this is a true story, and even sadder, there wasn't even any alcohol involved!)
And of course, we all saw & experienced God in the lecturers. The opening speaker of the conference was Dr. Todd Michael Abrams, who taught us about the “quantum mysteries” encoded in the Parables of Jesus (his latest book is the “Hidden Parables”). God was working and moving through the lovely Barbara Rose, who taught us to have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for abuse, and how it's OK to “walk” if things aren't working out. Jon Mundy was there to teach us more about A Course in Miracles. Gary Renard described his incredible visits with two Ascended Masters who appeared to him in physical form. Gary reminded us all that one of the main goals of life on this planet is to escape from the illusion of separation. Michael Mirdad was the voice of God reminding us that unresolved emotional issues will just keep popping up time and time again until we solve them, especially those that have to do with relationships. There were several other great speakers as well.
Armand and Angelina inspired us with their combined wit and uplifting, sometimes ambient, sometimes rock-n-roll style music. Fairie Elaine Silver also dazzled us with her rich, sultry, voice and songs that reminded us of our true Divine glory. The Ron Gosio band kept us rocking and rolling with his guitar, his lovely high-pitched laugh and the charming way he has of calling everyone “Dude.” And Jonn Serrie…well, Jonn Serrie (who did the music for “What the Bleep”) took us on a magical journey of sound and music with his fabulous space music concert at the end of the banquet Saturday night.
And let's not forget the moving Celestial Slide show that Marcus Mason put on for us, taking us deeper and deeper into our higher selves with his images of sacred landscapes and celestial phenomenon. Yes, we experienced God then, felt God moving and breathing and becoming our very essence…and once again…I am at a loss of words to adequately describe the pure bliss of this experience. But all I can say is that if you believe that you are a DIVINE soul deserving of a DIVINE experience, then get to this Conference!
Many Blessings, Cynthia Killion cynthiakillion@yahoo.com
